Before my journey with fitness began, I’d heard of podcasts, but never really knew what they were. When I got on the email lists of some of my favorite motivators, suddenly I was receiving daily messages letting me know what was up-and-coming on their podcasts. A whole new world opened for me.

 

Some of the people I admire most are putting shows out all the time, for free! They can be listened to at my own convenience. The podcasts are loaded with advice and motivational stories. They get me super pumped up about meeting the goals I’ve set for myself.

Achieve Your Goals – Hal Elrod

This guy never ceases to amaze me. Not only has Hal achieved incredible success in his business & relationships, he is a survivor. He came out of a car crash that should have killed him. And, more recently, he kicked the butt of a very rare form of cancer.

 

What I love about Hal’s podcast though, is that he interviews people who inspire him! This podcast is loaded with little gems of advice from Hal himself, but he spends a good 45 minutes chatting with other people who have achieved success in their own goals.

 

Fitness Confidential – Vinnie Tortorich

In his podcast, Vinnie interviews people from his audience who have achieved success in weight loss and overall health with his NSNG lifestyle. He also discusses the science behind why it works, and speaks with luminaries in the medical field, who drive the points home even further.

 

This is Your Life – Michael Hyatt

Michael has so much advice on achieving goals, getting organized, working smarter, and living with passion.

 

Previously, this was a weekly podcast. I loved listening to it every Monday on my morning run. These days, the archives are all still available, and there are special editions released occasionally, which you are notified of upon subscribing.

 

Why Bother?

 

Podcasts are a great way to keep yourself motivated as you work toward goals so big you never dreamed you could do it until now. They are available to listen to at your own pace, whenever you feel like it. They are great during a gym session, or while doing your makeup, or while commuting.

 

If you’ve never listened to a podcast before, I highly recommend starting with Achieve Your Goals, Fitness Confidential, or This is Your Life. You can subscribe and start listening to new episodes or check out their archives to see if you like them. Then, search around and see what else you can find!
