Weekly Weight Loss Update: Today, I am up 2 pounds from last Friday, down 9 pounds overall!
This Week’s Biggest Challenge: Emotional eating. Our family has been through some tough stuff over the past two weeks. We aren’t out of the woods yet, so I continue to hesitate on sharing details until everything is sorted out. The important detail to know is that we have spent more time in a hospital over the past two weeks than we have spent at home or at work. A hospital employee asked me the other day if I worked there! We’ve had more meals in the hospital cafeteria than at home and have totally dropped our meal plan in favor of comfort foods.
This Week’s Biggest Accomplishment: Remembering that some things are more important than losing weight. Right now, it’s important that Hubs and I get any food into our stomachs and lack of time for grocery shopping or cooking is leaving us with limited options. You can only enjoy so many of the exact same salad day after day. And you know what? When life gets tough and the only thing you have to look forward to is a brownie with lunch, it’s okay to take that win! Being with family through difficult times matters so much more than dropping a couple of pounds.
