Over the years, I’ve enjoyed the feeling of being super motivated to reach various different goals. However, I’ve been through my share of challenges too and there were times I thought I’d lose my motivation. In fact, there times I even thought I had already lost it. This is how I stay motivated in life during challenging times.

Self-Care
Self-care isn’t necessarily all about spa days and bubble baths. For me, self-care is as simple as waking up earlier to allow myself time to focus on myself. If I can start my day with a nutritious breakfast and have plenty of time to ease into my day with journaling or meditation (or better: BOTH!), I set myself up for higher motivation.
Exercise is also self-care. The tough thing here is that sometimes it’s exercise we need to motivate ourselves to do, yet by exercising you naturally become more motivated in life.
Time to Focus on Goals
In addition to allowing yourself the time to take care of yourself, it’s important to set aside dedicated time to work toward your goals, too. I find it’s a lot easier to motivate myself to work on a new product launch when I’ve built time into my day to work on it, rather than trying to squeeze it in.
Using a planner, it’s easy to map out your daily schedule and find the time that works best to focus, uninterrupted on your biggest goals. The Healthy Motivated Life Journal is built specifically for identifying these huge goals and building them naturally into each day.
Positivity
Focusing on the positive in your life, even for just a few minutes a day can drastically reduce stress. According to the Mayo Clinic, “having a positive outlook enables you to cope better with stressful situations, which reduces the harmful health effects of stress on your body.” If I’m not stressed, I’m a heck of a lot more motivated.
Be Motivated in Life
Staying motivated is all about attitude, and being completely intentional. It’s not something that just comes naturally, for me at least. I work hard to keep a positive attitude. And, I allow myself the time I need to take care of myself and to focus on my goals. Using a planner and regular journaling are big factors for me, but may not be for everyone. Find what works for you and roll with it.
