Weekly Weight Loss Update
Today, I am down 3 pounds from last Friday, 8 pounds overall, and remembering the importance of patience to lose weight.
What’s Been Happening
Hubs and I have been following the “NSNG” plan together (Vinnie Tortorich has fantastic information on his website describing exactly how to get started on No Sugars No Grains). So, this morning we were discussing our weight loss over breakfast.
I told him how excited I was to be down 8 pounds and he told me that he has lost 11 pounds. But, he’s disappointed at how slow his progress has been.
An average and healthy rate to lose weight is about one to two pounds per week. We’re on our third week of consistently following our healthy meal plan and losing about 2.5 and 3.5 pounds weekly.
That is rapid!
Patience to Lose Weight is a Virtue
Of course, I remember from my first round of weight loss that when you are motivated and working so hard each day, it feels like time drags and progress isn’t visible.
Patience to lose weight is an important piece of getting healthy. It’s easy to get excited and anxious to see results. But, when you finally do start to see that progress, it’s so worth the wait!
Don’t give up if you feel like things are moving slowly! It’s happening and what you are doing is working.
It just takes a little patience.
