The Best Way to Create Your Own Healthy Motivated Life . . . And Keep It That Way

It seems so obvious. We all know the right things to do. “Eat your vegetables.” “Exercise More.” “Say no to sugary treats.” Why are these seemingly simple habits so difficult to implement? Why is the human race so unhealthy? By changing your daily habits, you can easily create and sustain your own Healthy Motivated Life.

How to create your own Healthy Motivated Life.

Habits for an Unhealthy Life

I’ve heard various quotes, and read whole books on the topic of consistency. I’ve seen the results of consistency working for me and working against me.

When eating junk food and spending hours on the couch become daily occurrences, building fat and losing muscle mass become daily occurrences too.

It’s easy to miss these things happening, because it is so gradual over time. If you aren’t keeping a close eye on your weight, your body fat, or your waist size, you wake up one day and it’s as if your body has transformed overnight.

Habits for a Healthy Motivated Life

Exercise regularly, plan your meals and eat quality, nutritious foods . . . gradually over time, you lose fat and build muscle mass.

If you enjoy the process and build these tasks (that are admittedly forced at first) into natural habits, it’s just as easy to miss the positive changes in your body as you create your own Healthy Motivated Life.

You wake up one day and it’s as if your body has transformed overnight.

Use a Habit Tracker to Stay on Task

The key to positive consistency is to create healthy habits and stick to them.

Personally, I like to use a Habit Tracker to form new habits. Each month, I select a few habits that I would like to build on, write them down along the left side of a piece of paper, and along the top I’ll add the month and number the days of the month to create a grid.

I keep this in my planner all month and for each day that the new habit is completed, I fill in a square. (Google and Pinterest are great resources for more information on habit trackers).

If your daily habits are supportive of health, growth and betterment, each day you are becoming a healthier and better version of the wonderful you you already are!

By paying close attention to daily tasks, we can create healthy habits. Our habits ultimately become who we are as people. The question is, are your daily habits supportive of your own healthy motivated life?
