I’ve gotten really good at making excuses for myself. One of my best excuses for weight-gain, is Date Night. It’s tough to find new date ideas, and a regular dinner date is always a great opportunity to lounge and over-consume on calories.
I love date night, but lately I’ve been very aware that a weekly date night can begin to cause a problem with my health and fitness goals.
Making the switch from dinner dates to hiking dates is a win-win situation.

No More Searching for Date Ideas – Anyone Can Hike!
Our new favorite weekend activity is Date Day.
Hiking has become the perfect activity for our little family on the weekends, and so much more fun than any other date ideas I’ve come across. I love that hiking is the kind of exercise anyone do, regardless of skill level. It’s all about setting the right pace.
Memories are Created
Hubs and I both get our daily exercise, and at the same time, we are creating memories and giving sweet little Bentley a chance to explore new territory and get out tons of pent-up energy.
It’s a win-win-win situation!
A New Bond Can Be Formed
I’ve always loved to hike. I love the feeling of accomplishment when you reach your destination. Now, more than ever, I love the bonding experience with my hiking partner.
So, look no further for date ideas . . . try it out this weekend! Grab some water and a first aid kit, and hit the trails with your honey!
